In short

Dream is a 106.5-metre motor yacht that began as a passenger ship delivered by Haliç Tersaneleri in 1997; her conversion started in Greece in 2008 under the project name Poseidonos and was completed in 2018 (Boat International, Boat International). Only the hull and the engine room were kept: the bow, stern and superstructure are new, and she grew from 93 to 106.5 metres (Boat International, Boat International). She won the Converted Yachts category at the 2019 World Superyacht Awards (Boat International) and sleeps 36 guests (Boat International), where most charter yachts carry no more than 12 (YachtCharterFleet). Boat International reported in 2018 that she is owned by Greek shipowner George Prokopiou, and she is offered for charter (Boat International, YachtCharterFleet).

Questions

How big is the Dream yacht?
Dream is 106.5 metres (349 ft) long, with a 15.8-metre beam and a gross tonnage of 4,702 (Boat International). Boat International counts her among 83 motor yachts longer than 100 metres (Boat International).
Was Dream a cruise ship?
Yes. She was delivered in 1997 as a small passenger ship that ran cruises in the Mediterranean (Boat International). The conversion began in Greece in 2008 under the project name Poseidonos (Boat International). Only the hull and the engine room were kept; the bow, stern and superstructure are new steel, with 550 tonnes of new steel replacing 320 tonnes removed, and she grew from 93 to 106.5 metres (Boat International, Boat International, YachtCharterFleet). She was delivered as a yacht in 2018 (YachtCharterFleet).
Who designed and rebuilt Dream?
The owner's own company, Olympic Yacht Services, ran the conversion, with naval architect Nikolas Dendrinos as project manager (Boat International, Boat International). Giorgio Vafiadis of Studio Vafiadis designed the exterior, and Ciarmoli Queda Studio of Milan designed the interior (Boat International, Boat International). Boat International and YachtCharterFleet place the work at Chalkis Shipyards in Greece (Boat International, YachtCharterFleet).
What is on board Dream?
Boat International lists a master suite of 260 square metres (its 2021 charter review gives 220), a 400-square-metre main saloon, a cinema, two lifts, a teppanyaki dining room, a two-level sundeck pool, a helipad, and a dive centre behind a 42-square-metre stern door that opens onto the sea (Boat International, Boat International). YachtCharterFleet adds a swim-up bar at the pool (YachtCharterFleet). There are also a wellness centre with a sauna, steam bath and gym, and a business centre with nine workstations (Boat International). Many of the windows open: 66 portholes, 20 manual windows and 112 electric windows (Boat International).
Can you charter Dream?
Yes. She is listed for charter for up to 36 guests in 22 cabins (YachtCharterFleet). She is based in Athens and cruises in the Mediterranean from June to October (YachtCharterFleet).
Who owns Dream?
Boat International reported in December 2018 that Dream is owned by Greek shipping magnate George Prokopiou, and described him as her owner again in its feature on the conversion (November 2020) (Boat International, Boat International).
Is this yacht connected to Dream Yacht Charter?
No. This page is about the single 106.5-metre motor yacht Dream, rebuilt in 2018 (Boat International). It is not about the charter company with a similar name or its fleet.
Where is Dream now?
Her live position is shown on public AIS trackers: MarineTraffic and VesselFinder. Search by IMO 9005871 or MMSI 215844000; she sails under the flag of Malta (VesselFinder).
