In short

Andromeda is a 107.4-metre explorer yacht that Norwegian shipbuilder Kleven delivered in March 2016 as Ulysses, the first private superyacht from a yard best known for offshore support vessels (Boat International, Boat International). She is reported to have been built for New Zealand businessman Graeme Hart (Boat International, December 2023), with exterior styling by Oscar Mike, naval architecture by Marin Teknikk and interiors by H2 Yacht Design (Boat International, Boat International). Her ice-classed steel hull carries a helicopter pad and hangar, an 11-metre pool and a 21-metre catamaran stowed in a foredeck well, and she has a range of 8,500 nautical miles at 12 knots (Boat International, Boat International). After a three-month upgrade in La Rochelle in 2017 she was reported sold that October, and she now sails as Andromeda for a private owner (Boat International, Boat International, Boat International).

Questions

How big is the Andromeda yacht?
Andromeda is 107.4 metres (352 ft) long with an 18-metre beam and a gross tonnage of 5,937 (Boat International). Boat International counts her among 83 motor yachts longer than 100 metres and lists her among the largest explorer yachts in the world (Boat International, Boat International).
Is Andromeda the same yacht as Ulysses?
Andromeda was launched and delivered as Ulysses; she is the 107.4-metre Kleven yacht from 2016 (Boat International). The name Ulysses was later used for a 116-metre Kleven explorer delivered in 2018, now called Multiverse (Boat International), and then for a 102.5-metre Feadship delivered in 2024 (Boat International, Boat International). These are three different yachts.
Who built Andromeda?
She was built by Kleven Verft in Ulsteinvik, Norway, a yard that builds offshore support vessels, and was its first private superyacht (Boat International, Boat International). Oscar Mike styled the exterior, Marin Teknikk did the naval architecture and H2 Yacht Design the interiors; the fit-out was done in Germany by Europlan (Boat International).
What toys and tenders does Andromeda carry?
Her largest tender is a 21-metre catamaran stowed in a well on the foredeck and launched by two cranes (Boat International, Boat International). Boat International also lists two 14-metre Naiad RIBs, a landing craft, an amphibious RIB, jet skis, sailing dinghies, motorbikes and ATVs, and she has a helicopter pad with a hangar (Boat International, Boat International).
How far can Andromeda travel?
Her range is 8,500 nautical miles at 12 knots, with 470,000 litres of fuel; top speed is 16 knots (Boat International, Boat International). The steel hull is ice-classed, and she was built to passenger-ship rules (Boat International, Boat International).
Where is Andromeda now?
Her live position can be followed on AIS trackers using IMO 9692545 or MMSI 319879000; she sails under the Cayman Islands flag (VesselFinder).
